Background
The Victorian Alpaca Colourbration Carnival was first established in 2004 to provide breeders the opportunity to showcase their coloured animals and be judged against their colour type. The first show was held at Lancefield in 2004 with 170 animals exhibited.
Due to its popularity, the Colourbration event soon outgrew the Lancefield venue and in 2007 moved to Bendigo to the newly completed Bendigo Exhibition Centre at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds, Holmes Road, Bendigo (See Map on our Location page).

Catholic College Bendigo Joins Alpaca Colourbration
2010 will be the second year students from the Catholic College Bendigo will join the Victorian Alpaca Colourbration Carnival Show & Sale. Students are given the opportunity to experience a full range of roles and responsibilities associated with showing and promotional aspects of breeding alpacas - experiences that cannot be recreated in the classroom.
Students will also have the opportunity to assist a number of larger alpaca studs (breeders showing 10-25 alpacas) where they will get hands on experience in preparing and showing alpacas. Each stud has agreed to mentor the students to ensure they receive maximum practical experience and knowledge in preparing and showing.
The Australian Alpaca Association (Victorian Central Region) and the Alpaca Colourbration organising committee are sincerely grateful for the support given by the Catholic College Bendgio staff and students.
What the 2010 Victoriain Alpaca Colourbration Carnival has to offer?
